Are you looking for an exciting new career in the marine industry? Have you considered becoming a marine surveyor? Skagit Valley College is launching a 9-week surveying course at the Vocational Technology Center in Anacortes, Washington.
A winter session Marine Surveying Course is being offered starting February 23, 2026, with a second Marine Surveying Session tentatively planned for September 14, 2026; enrollment for the Sept. session depends on interest and availability so those wanting to enroll are encouraged to register for the upcoming February session, seats are limited, so sign up early.

The 9-week course runs February 23 through April 24 and focuses on condition and valuation surveys for vessels 65 feet or less in length. The course is presented in modules covering topics essential for professional marine surveyors. Topics covered include ethics, client agreements, report writing, materials and construction, mechanical, electrical, and more. Upon successful completion of the course and exams, graduates receive a Certificate of Completion and multiple ABYC certifications.
