Are you wanting to be a crew member on the 48-foot vessel One Ocean for the Around-the-Americas Project but don’t have the 14 months to be at sea? Then you can do the next best thing by being a sponsor and having your company name, family name, or individual name stenciled on the vessel that circumnavigates the Americas!

You’ll be part of the journey in name and recognition by becoming a sponsor to support this noble cause. The mission of the Around-the-Americas Project (ATA) is to collect scientific research on the state of our oceans. Captain Mark Schrader completed a similar expedition in 2009-2010, with a never-done-before scientific data collection that was shared openly. The Around-the-Americas Expedition will launch again on May 1, 2025 from Anacortes, Washington for more scientific research, collaboration, creation of a school curriculum, and public awareness about our one ocean.

The University of Victoria will collaborate with Wood’s Hole Oceanographic Institution and the University of California in a pole-to-pole kelp research project emphasizing the importance of bull kelp forests. The University of Washington’s Applied Physics Lab will run several data research projects to study climate change. All collected research will be open-sourced and available to students, scientists, and the general public on the Around-the-Americas website and through social media outlets. The crew of One Ocean will be sharing the educational platform at every stop along their journey – research, experiences, and stories to a broad audience.

  • First Mate Sponsorship $3,000 – name placement on the transom, event materials, and website mentions (30 available).
  • Vice-Admiral $5,000 – name placement on the cabin, event materials, and website mentions (20 available).
  • Admiral Sponsorship $10,000 – name placement on the hull and on social media blasts, event materials, and website mentions (10 available).
