Boaters are loving the option of purchasing Ports and Passes by cruising area in two volumes – Volume 1, covering the Inside Waters from Puget Sound through the Broughtons Region; and Volume 2 covering Northern BC, West Coast Vancouver Island, Haida Gwaii, and Southeast Alaska. Due to the substantial changes in the production of Ports and Passes and the collection of data, there are some errata pages, which you will want to replace that are available by free download:

  • Volume 1, page 177 – Corrected for Greene Point Rapids – Turn to Flood is -1:25 and Turn to Ebb is -1:35
  • Volume 1, page 357 – Secondary Station Adjustments for stations listed below Greene Point Rapids is one row too high and should be shifted down one row to align correctly
  • Volume 2, missing page – the Secondary Tide Stations for Prince Rupert is missing

All of the above pages can be downloaded for free; go to the Waggoner Home Page Ports and Passes Tile HERE to download.

If you haven’t already noted, British Columbia has made the decision to make Daylight Saving Time permanent effective 2026 and will not be turning their clocks back on November 1. Visitors coming from the U.S. crossing into BC in November and December will need to add one hour for BC Time. Boaters using Ports and Passes Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 in Nov/Dec will need to add one hour to Nov/Dec prediction times for BC Reference Stations.
