BRIG is one of the largest builders of rigid hull inflatable boats and has been designing and manufacturing Rib boats since 1991. Based in Kharkiv, Ukraine, the factory was shut down in 2022 due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Thankfully, the BRIG factory in Kharkiv is back in business.
In February 2022, BRIG made the decision to cease manufacturing to protect the safety of their employees, but maintained hope of resuming production in the future. Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second largest city, sits only 19 miles from the Russia/Ukraine border. Kharkiv came close to being occupied by Russia only a few months back, but Ukraine gained control of the city in late 2022 after being severely targeted by Russian forces from the onset of the war.
BRIG is proud to announce that they are breathing life back into their local economy and supporting the large team of Ukraine employees. A BRIG dealer in Australia, Sirocco Marine, welcomed the return of BRIG boats at a reception in early July at their dealership.
