The Recreational Boating Association of Washington (RBAW) has launched a Free Mobile Pumpout service for weekends and holidays this summer, 2024, at the following locations as part of the “West Puget Sound Program.”

  • Poulsbo – Liberty Bay and
  • Poulsbo Guest Dock
  • Illahee State Marine Park
  • Fort Ward State Marine Park
  • Blake Island State Marine Park
  • Bainbridge Island – Eagle Harbor

This service is in effect during the summer months for 3 years (2024-2026) and will continue operation through approximately mid-September annually. RBAW is utilizing NW Mobile Pump Out and Marine Environmental Services for this program; click HERE to schedule your free pumpout service at the locations shown above.

This free mobile pumpout service was made possible by grants awarded to RBAW in March of this year by the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission Clean Vessel Act (CVA) Grant Program, and in cooperation with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Clean Vessel Act Grant Program. The Clean Vessel Act program is funded by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service through the Sport Fish Restoration and Boating Trust Fund, which is financed by the purchase of motorboat fuels and fishing equipment. These Grants provide funding to build, renovate, operate and/or maintain fixed and mobile sewage disposal systems to qualifying recipients. CVA grants reimburse up to 75% of construction, equipment, maintenance, and education costs with recipients required to provide 25% of project costs. The match funding requirement was provided by fiscal partnerships with the Port of Poulsbo, City of Poulsbo, Washington State Parks Foundation, and City of Bainbridge Island.
