Did you know that the Port of Seattle offers free educational tours, some by tour boat? Participants get a behind the scenes look at commerce and cargo operations in the boating industry.
The adult education series includes a five-mile trip up the Duwamish Waterway to learn about commerce, jobs, wildlife habitat restoration, and public shoreline areas. Or how about joining a trip along the Ship Canal to learn about maritime businesses, commercial fishing, and boat maintenance? You can even join the Northwest Seaport Alliance for a tour of a marine cargo terminal and learn about the container shipping industry. There’s an environmental program option too, followed by a tour of the Aquarium to learn about their sustainability practices.

Advance reservations are required and space is limited, so reserve your spot early. The series is free and open to adults 18 years and older, priority is given to first-time registrants. Registration confirmation is sent via email. To register, click HERE. If you have additional questions, contact portregistration@portseattle.org or call (206) 940-3190.
