The Maritime Institute has a new satellite location at the Port of Everett Waterfront. The Institute has signed a 10-year lease for the Everett site, where training for commercial vessel operations is now provided for those seeking a variety of career opportunities in the maritime industry. The Institute has satellite locations in Alameda, California and Honolulu, Hawaii and now Everett, Washington. A special ribbon cutting to commemorate the opening at Everett took place in mid-May, 2024.

Training at the Institute includes deck, engineering, life-safety, and even arms operations. Over 150 courses are offered and authorized by the U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Navy. A key program to be expanded at the Everett location is the Maritime Bootcamp – a four-week program intended to put participants on a maritime career path. Courses at the Institute are open to anyone interested in becoming a licensed captain, renewing a maritime license, or learning specific job skills in the maritime industry.
