Come enjoy the exciting Port Angeles City Pier location on October 9th through the 11th for the popular Dungeness crab meals, cooking demonstrations, and a weekend full of live music and contests all held on the waterfront.

The three-day event takes place the same weekend as Canadian Thanksgiving, the second Monday of October, and has become a favorite food feast alternative for a family outing. Thousands of visitors from Canada arrive on the Black Ball Ferry Line from Victoria, BC and mingle with U.S. locals from the region. The CrabFest is mostly outdoors and is held rain or shine so pack your favorite rain boots and jackets. There will be 75+ vendors, fun activities for the kids, a live Search and Rescue demonstration (weather permitting) and of course food, including a beer and wine garden.

You can purchase the whole crab dinner or a local seafood dish at Crab Central. The festival favorite is a full, fresh Dungeness crab cooked on site and served with farm fresh corn on the cob, house-made coleslaw, and softened butter. For smaller appetites, choose the half-crab option which comes with the same sides. The festival committee makes their best guess on how many pounds of crab to order from the local crab boats, your pre-purchased dinners help the team to order the correct amount so as not to run out! Please purchase your crab dinner option HERE. Dinners are served from 11 am until 8:30 pm on Friday and Saturday and until 4:30 pm on Sunday. You don’t have to purchase the crab dinner to attend the festival, there are many other food options from which to choose at Crab Central.
Entry to the entire festival is free. To learn more about this special event, go to https://www.crabfestival.org
Attendees arriving by private boat should make reservations at Port Angeles Boat Haven (360-457-4505). Docks at the Port Angeles City Pier are first-come, first-served. See page 176 of the 2026 Waggoner Cruising Guide for more details.
