The Classic Yacht Association, Pacific Northwest Fleet, invites the general public to a free viewing of 45 classic yachts at Pier 66, Bell Harbor Marina. Show hours are 10 am to 4 pm, June 15 and June 16.

Dedicated to the preservation of fine old classic motor yachts, members of the Association will be on hand to answer your questions. You can meet and talk to the owners of these beautiful, historic vessels and purchase artist-quality posters. Each year the show features a special class of boats, or Marquee. This year’s event highlights “Boats with a Mission,” showcasing vessels that were used for a specific job or task. The Sea Witch, for example, was the first lifeboat in San Francisco in 1907; the Halcyon was a working salmon troller, plying the waters from Alaska to the Oregon coast; and the Gyrfalcon served as a survey vessel, charting the coast of Alaska. Come see Messenger III, part of the Canadian fleet, which served as a missionary vessel delivering supplies and goodwill along the coast of British Columbia. The well-known Virginia V that served as a passenger ferry from 1922-1938 will be there too, among many other classic vessels of all shapes and sizes.

Bring the whole family and enjoy a fun outing on Father’s Day Weekend at Bell Harbor Marina, 2203 Alaskan Way, Seattle.
