Have you walked the plazas, eaten at the cafes, or sat around the fountain lately at the Port of Everett Marina campus? You may be surprised to discover the many new eateries, services, and new buildings that are popping up in the five different districts around the Port of Everett, the largest marina complex on the West Coast. Described below are some of the many options and recent additions to please the palate.

Photo of Weyerhaeuser Building

The Muse Whiskey & Coffee Bar recently opened in the beautifully restored and repurposed Weyerhaeuser Building at Boxcar Park in the Millwright District, overlooking the North Docks and the Snohomish River Channel. Stop by for teas, coffee, pastries, or sandwiches any day of the week from 7 am to 4 pm and enjoy one of the lovely lounges inside the refurbished Weyerhaeuser building. If socializing with an evening drink over dinner is your bailiwick, visit the separate speakeasy-inspired Whiskey Bar, open Sunday-Thursday 4 pm to 10 pm and until 11 pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Reservations are accepted for diners in the Bar.

The Weyerhaeuser building was constructed in 1923, now celebrating 100 years of historic significance. Weyerhaeuser was the largest employer in Everett at the time; the Gothic-style building was originally erected at the company’s first Everett plant, Mill A. The Weyerhaeuser building was moved several times over the years to serve as an office building. The building’s 160-ton two-story vault that originally held the company payroll is now used to store wine and whiskey for The Muse.

Jetty Bar & Grille at Indigo Hotel

Jetty Bar & Grille. Located inside Hotel Indigo in the Fisherman’s Harbor District, the Jetty Bar & Grille is another relatively new addition at Everett Marina. This restaurant has both indoor and outdoor summer seating, overlooking the Pacific Rim Plaza & Fountain. The classy, but casual atmosphere will make any patron feel special in the modern, upscale Hotel Indigo. The Jetty Grille offers Pacific Northwest inspired cuisine – open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with brunch offered on weekends.

Outdoor courtyard at Sound2Summit Brewing

Woods Coffee and Sound2Summit Brewing. Located in the Marina Village District on the southeast end of the Port of Everett is a newly constructed building with two new favorites – Woods Coffee, a business established by the Herman family in 2002, which now has a number of locations throughout Washington State. Woods at Everett Marina is open daily from 5 am (5:30 am on weekends) until 8 pm. It’s a nice place to relax and visit with friends over a great cup of coffee.

Sound2Summit Brewing is a local craft brewery that has served the community of Snohomish for nearly a decade and recently opened their second location at the Port of Everett in the same structure as Woods Coffee in the Marina Village District. The brewery offers numerous award-winning craft beers, created by head brewer Adam Frantz. Yes, there are rotating ciders too. Menu selections by local chef Shawn Klaus include wood-fired pizzas, grinders, flatbreads, and salads. You can enjoy the large wooden bar and indoor seating, or the outdoor courtyard during the summer months. Hours are Monday-Thursday from noon to 9 pm; open until 10 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and until 8 pm on Sundays.

Patio seating at Bluewater Organic Distilling & Restaurant

Two New Additions at Waterfront Center. More recently, Seas the Day Café opened next door to Scuttlebutt’s in the Craftsman District, offering a selection of fresh sandwiches, coffee, and soft drinks. A convenient stop for those on the go. The other end of the Waterfront Center building now houses the Bluewater Organic Distilling & Restaurant. This bar, bistro, and retail shop offers indoor and patio dining, takeout, and curbside pickup. You can purchase spirits, fresh cocktail mixers, and bottles of wine from their wine shop. Stop by for spirits tastings and sharable dips with friends, or enjoy a seafood main dish followed by some sweets for dessert. Bluewater is open Wednesday-Friday starting at 2 pm, and starting at noon on Saturdays and Sundays.

New building to house South Fork Bakery and Fisherman Jack's

South Fork Bakery, Coming Soon. Currently under construction is a new complex just south of the Pacific Rim Plaza & Fountain near “The Sawyer” luxury apartments and Hotel Indigo in the Fisherman’s District. The South Fork Bakery anticipates moving into a portion of the new building in early August 2023. The building is styled after an open-air, timber-theme concept that pays tribute to the sites’ historic mill town roots. The Bakery will feature a variety of scratch-made goods baked daily, along with espresso and other drinks. Sandwiches with house-made sauces will be featured for lunch.

Fisherman Jack’s, an Asian-inspired restaurant serving dim sum, rice bowls, and other dishes, also plans to move into the new complex once the building in the Fisherman’s District has been completed sometime in late July 2023. Other venues, including the Rustic Cork Wine Bar, and Lazy Boy Brewing plan to arrive sometime in 2024.

Hike the Skybridge. Boaters can access the Skybridge that crosses over the railroad tracks from the marina to Grand Avenue Park and the stately historic homes in the neighborhood of Grand Avenue. The views above the marina and the Olympic Mountains beyond are breathtaking, seen from Grand Avenue Park running along the entire bluff. High-end homes from the earlier grand periods of 1910, the 1920s, and the 30s and 40s stand proud over Everett’s unique waterways.

Patrons dining at Scuttlebutt Family Pub

Long-Standing Favorites at Port of Everett. Restaurants that have been solid anchors for the Port of Everett over the years are Anthony’s Homeport, Anthony’s Woodfire Grill, and Lombardi’s, and more recently, Scuttlebutt Family Pub, which all continue to be favorites. Anthony’s is well-known for their consistently excellent seafood dishes, beautiful waterfront locations, and professional service. Anthony’s privately held company also owns and operates their own seafood plant in Seattle, ensuring that only premier seafood is served at their restaurants. Lombardi’s is known for their Italian fare offered for lunch and dinner. Italian favorites include pizza, pasta, and various Italian-inspired entrees. The Scuttlebutt Family Pub is an independent craft brewer, offering seasonal beer and year-round beers. The Pub has 12 beer taps, house-made root beer, and craft spirits to accompany your fish & chips, burgers, platters, and other pub fare.
