Come enjoy the day-long BC CrabFest on Saturday, July 18, from 11 am to 10 pm in Victoria’s Inner Harbour at Ship Point (812 Wharf St.). The festival is anchored around the BC Dungeness Crab Boil and features chef demonstrations, coastal storytelling, family activities, and local drinks. BC Dungeness crab is cooked on-site and there will be lots of hands-on fun at the Seaside Family Zone.

The event honors the fishing families that harvest crab, a long-standing tradition on the coast. Educational Marketplace Booths help tell the story. Chef Demos are scheduled throughout the day as well as a full slate of entertainment. You can buy fresh, live crab before the festival directly from fish boats, dockside, at Fisherman’s Wharf hosted by the BC Crab Company.

Entrance to the day’s festivities is by donation; however, tickets are required for the Crab Boil, with choices ranging from the Mini, the Meal, or a seat at the waterfront Captain’s Table. Tickets for the Crab Boil need to be purchased ahead of time HERE, with pickup window times scheduled by ticket choice. Each Crab Boil bucket includes BC Dungeness crab, mussels, BC potatoes, corn on the cob, and fresh baguette with melted butter and seasoning.
