AquaLink, a water taxi service that provides scheduled trips to 5 different destinations in the Southern Gulf Islands is operating May through October for the 2023 season.

AquaLink provides the option to visit several islands without taking your own boat, or allows the option to meet up with family and crew. Or perhaps you wish to go camping at one of the beautiful island campsites. If you don’t yet have a boat, AquaLink can make the connections for you to 5 different islands of the Southern Gulf Islands:

  • Ganges Harbour on Salt Spring Island
  • Sturdies Bay on Galiano Island
  • Miners Bay on Mayne Island
  • Port Browning on Pender Island
  • Lyall Harbour on Saturna Island

Additional routes for special festivals and events are often added to the schedule. In July and August, AquaLink plans to have some select routes connecting to Sidney on Vancouver Island.

Advanced bookings are highly recommended, but “walk ups” are accepted if space is available. You can even bring your dog on board, provided your pet is sociable and gets along with other dogs and humans. Bikes are allowed with prior arrangement by sending a request by email to info@aqualink.ca; space is based on availability. AquaLink uses a number of different boats depending on the route. The smallest boat carries up to 11 passengers, and the largest boat carries up to 42 passengers.

Cost depends on which route you book. Tickets are booked One Way, and most One-Way tickets are $20. For a schedule of departures, or to book tickets, go to aqualink.ca/
