Responsibilities:
- Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions
- Update and maintain the general ledger for all accounts
- Reconcile banking and credit card accounts
- Reconcile expense accounts
- Processes payments and deposits checks
- Create invoices
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- File quarterly excise taxes
- Keep contra accounts current
- Develop bookkeeping policies and procedures
- Assist with some HR tasks
- Produces various financial reports such as balance sheets, cash flow statements, and income statements
- Works with the accountant to make sure the books are clean and in order
- Works with the accountant to assist with preparing needed materials for annual taxes

- Experience with A/P & A/R
- High-level use of Quickbooks Online

We’re Hiring a Shipping & Receiving Clerk!
Responsibilities:
- Determines the method of shipment, packs goods, and prepares invoices and other shipping documents
- Manages the shipment and receipt of all products
- Prepares shipments, including calculating prices for various shipping methods
- Receives merchandise and manages current inventory
- Inspects incoming goods against invoices and other documents, records shortages, and rejects damaged goods
- Accepts or returns merchandise
- Develops internal record-keeping systems
- Answers phone and any client or customer-related questions to shipping and receiving
- Tags and wraps inventory as needed
- Keeps track of and orders necessary shipping supplies
- Communicates with wholesale clients and customers as needed
- Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments
- Maintains a clean, neat, inventory area
- Takes inventory and maintains storage area
- Organizes and places stocks on bookstore shelves
- Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude
- Provides additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Manages pallet shipments or large quantity shipments; typically once or twice a year
Desired skills:
- Experience receiving and sorting incoming inventory
- Experience managing, packing and sending out incoming orders
- Experience maintaining stock (office and small warehouse)
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong sense of time organization and urgency
- Able to work independently
- Understands how to prioritize

We are looking for someone to work 20-25 hours a week, and more as needed, especially during key times of the year. Hours can be flexible as long as orders are shipped and received on time. Pay: $16-18 DOE
