Cape Caution

Cape Caution, north of Vancouver Island is exposed to the Pacific Ocean. Boaters typically wait in Port McNeill, Port Hardy, or the Gordon Islands before crossing Queen Charlotte Strait to head around Cape Caution. Protected anchorages on the B.C. Mainland side of Queen Charlotte, include Blunden Harbour, Shelter Bay, and Allison Harbour. When heading south, Fury Cove and Millbrook Cove are good places to wait before heading around the Cape.
