Are you wanting to learn more about maintaining and repairing your outboard motor? If you own a vessel with an outboard motor, or a smaller boat or dinghy, then you won’t want to miss registering for the one-day class covering outboard motors at the Marine Technology Center in Anacortes, located at 1606 R Avenue.

This helpful, informative class is scheduled for Saturday, October 17 from 9 am to 4 pm. The course will cover the basics for all outboard engines, with breakout labs throughout the day to practice your new skills. Topics covered include:

  • Oil Changes
  • Fuel care and handling
  • Lower unit testing
  • Water pump impeller replacement
  • Electrical Systems
  • Routine Maintenance & Tune-up
  • Winterization

The class is taught by Matt Mardesich, Co-Dept. Chair and lead propulsion systems instructor in the Marine Maintenance Technology program, part of Skagit Valley College. To register for the class, go HERE.
