Waggoner Guide Flotilla Day 16

Lowe Inlet

Day 16 – Monday

The sun appeared for our windless 8 a.m. departure. We left the dock, and as I was putting away fenders and lines, a whale came up 100’ away from me. We ended up stopping to watch the three whales dive for breakfast so close you could smell them. We got underway in what I call the passage of waterfalls. Like the day before, we must have passed 40-50 waterfalls fed by the recent rains and the snow melt. They are Mother Nature’s water sculptures. Beautiful and each one unique.

We entered Lowe Inlet and anchored for the night, some of us right in front of the waterfall. Dinner was on board, and many boats shared dinner with the crew of another boat.
