Fellow Cruisers,

My husband and I are avid cruisers who are just beginning our fifth season in beautiful British Columbia. Since we cruise for at least five months we have established the Port McNeil Fuel Dock as a place to recoup before heading around Cape Caution. The new docks and electrical upgrades completed last year have made the operation first class.

But I am primarily writing to tell you of the exemplary service we have received from the General Manager, Steve Jackman, and his crew. Throughout our five years of cruising we have seen none better. They have shuttled our guests to the Port Hardy Airport without charge, they have checked on our boat while we were stateside for two weeks, they have shipped boat parts north for us and today they delivered engine serpentine belts to Port Hardy where we are weathered in. We have met some fine people in our cruising experience but the none surpass the folks at the Port McNeil Fuel Dock. We recommend it without reservation.

Jan and Doug,

Thanks for sending in your comments on the Port McNeill Fuel Dock. Bruce and Steve Jackman and their crew are really dedicated to making their marina a world class facility. I have passed on your comments to them. We so often hear of the complaints and not the compliments.

Have a great cruise,
