Are you tired of the rain and the cold? Do you really want to get out on a boat again in a warm place before the summer season? How about joining the Waggoner Guide group for our Flotilla Cruise to the beautiful British Virgin Islands.  What? Flotilla Cruise to the BVI? Yup. We go there too. Many don’t know of our other popular cruising guide to the BVI. We have been exploring the best of this area for over 35 years and now want to share our favorite Caribbean cruising destinations with you.

This one week, relaxing, trip let’s you explore the BVI. You fly to the BVI on Saturday May 2 and arrive on the 3rd and move on board the boats at Nanny Cay. We depart on the afternoon of the 3rd and head to Norman Island and the Bight. We moor on a buoy in the clear blue waters and then gather for cocktails at the world famous Willy T, or more formally known as the William B. Thornton, pirate ship and bar. Then off to Pirates for a wonderful beach side dinner. The next day we cruise to Cooper Island for rum tasting and dinner at the Cooper Island Beach Club. The next day, we cruise to the island of Virgin Gorda where we will visit the world famous giant boulders of The Baths. Next it is up to Leverick Bay where we will join the party for Full Moon night with music, dancing, great food, jumbies and of course, a bit of rum. Next we are off to Diamond Cay and Jost Van Dyke and Foxy’s famous Tamarind Bar with a bit of swimming and snorkeling during the day at Sandy Cay. Depending on our timing we will head around Tortola to overnight at Great Harbour before returning our boats to Nanny Cay to fly home – tanned and refreshed!

We will be using the MV Vanquishas our mothership with a selection of other boats to join in the fun. Want to join us?

The first boat is now full and we will add successive boats as people join us and sign up. We have a selection of both power and sailboat bareboat charter boats available. You can reserve a complete boat for you and a group of friends or we will fill boats on a cabin by cabin basis. Let us know what kind of boat you would like, this includes, power cats, sailing catamarans, and monohull sailboats. The cost is roughly between $2500-$3000 per cabin for the week with a cabin holding two. Each boat has between 3 and 4 cabins. We can give you an estimate on the other costs including fuel, provisions (for lunch and dinners aboard) and other supplies. Dinners out and your bar bill are your responsibility. We will take care of all of the planning and will lead the trip to the best locations of the BVI.

This trip will be lead by Mark Bunzel, the Editor and Publisher of the Waggoner Cruising Guide and the Waggoner’s Cruising the British Virgin Islands. All participants will get a copy of the guide book and a route planning map.
