Field Correspondents Janine & Nick Mott report that State Parks is running a pilot program where boaters can register and pay for Mooring Buoy fees by telephone instead of taking the dinghy to the dock to complete the registration form and payment. Telephone payment is by credit card or annual moorage pass. There is a $4.50 fee for using the telephone system – annual moorage pass holders will need to pay the $4.50 fee by credit card. Telephone operators are available from 7am to 10pm May 15 to Sept 15, and 7am to 8pm Sept 16 to May 14. This program is being piloted at Jarrell Cove State Marine Park only.
