Santa Wish List

December 25th is less than a week away, and many of us are on Christmas Countdown.

We have many items in our Waggoner Guide store that are perfect for the boaters like the

2017 Waggoner Cruising Guide, 2017 Waggoner Tables,

2017 Ports and Passes Tides & Currents, 2017 Current Atlas Tables, and our holiday specials

As a little bit of fun, we thought we’d ask our Waggoner team members what they hope

Santa puts under their Christmas tree.

This fall, our office moved to downtown Anacortes, a short walk away from Cap Sante Marina. To make our ordering process more efficient, I would like Santa to bring me a Voistek A2H20D25MM Dual Ear Call Center Telephone Headphone with Noise Canceling Microphone Headset which is handy for the hands-free phone calls at the office, home, and on the boat.

Years ago, I had a boat. Now, I boat with friends. To keep our adventures spill-free I’d like a Mighty Mug Wine Stem Set of 2.

We spend much of our summers cruising Pacific Northwest waters. And, the main thing I wish for is continued good health for my wife and me so we can continue our boating adventures and lifestyle.

But if Santa has room in his sleigh, a Balmar 165-amp Alternator and MC614 Smart Regulator for charging the house batteries would be great.

I’m a creative person, and photography is one of my passions. So, it should be no surprise that two of my items are all about images. My first is a GoPro HERO5 Black. Not only will this take some great video and photos, but one of our friends used his waterproof GoPro to assess the damage underneath the waterline of his boat. Read more about that here.

And, a Yuneec Typhoon H UHD 4K Hexacopter Drone. It might be a little extravagant, but this is a wish list!

As a freelance writer, I travel a lot. I am also on social media, a lot. A 2017 Newest Dell Inspiron 15.6 inch Touchscreen HD Premium Laptop would be handy for my traveling lifestyle and keep me in touch with all of our Waggoner Cruising Guide followers.

This year, we plan to put our kayaks to good use in the San Juan Islands. But, we have also dropped two cameras into the water. Yikes! To protect my phone, which is now the only camera I take on water adventures, I’d like a Waterproof Universal CellPhone Dry Bag Pouch.

We are avid cruisers and like the Waggoner Cruising Guide, call Anacortes our home port. At the top of the list are lots of sunny days with bear and whale encounters and memorable connections with people who live in remote areas of the Pacific Northwest.

To keep us cruising smoothly, I’d like Santa to bring me a Standard Horizon HX870 Floating 6W Handheld VHF with Internal GPS and a 73lb. Rocna Anchor of galvanized steel with roll-bar scoop design.

If you are interested in the Standard Horizon HX870 Radio too, the Waggoner Cruising Guide will be giving one away at the Seattle Boat Show. Stop by our booth to enter to win!

I love capturing pictures of the beautiful vistas we have when cruising the Inside Passage, taking pictures of people with their catch and just having fun. After much investigation, I purchased the Sony RX100 IV last summer before heading out for the season. The result–great pictures. Many appear in the 2017 Waggoner Cruising Guide. In October, Sony released the new Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 V 20.1 MP Digital Still Camera w/ 3″ OLED. Yup, just a few new features, actually a lot of new features like better high-speed focusing that make it a gift I hope Santa brings for me. He can be late. I leave for our first Alaska Flotilla on May 20.

And, the Travel 503 Electric Outboard Shaft Size: 23″ H is quiet, efficient and light. No gas to deal with. I know it is totally indulgent, as I have a great 9.9hp Nissan that I love. It always starts. But what the heck, this is from Santa!
