Just wanted to “complete the circle” on the issue we had at Ladysmith Maritime Society Marina last month. We had a VERY nice letter from Dave Ehrismann explaining the cause of the difficulties they were having the day we pulled in and apologizing. And the, clearly going above and beyond, offering us a free WEEK…Details
I thought you might be interested in feedback regarding our recent visit to Ganges on Salt Spring Island, B.C. We docked at the Ganges Marina in June 2011. We thought they had plans to fix up the marina, which has been in rough shape for years now, but we didn’t see any signs of ongoing…Details
Denman Island now has a new dock available to boaters. It is located immediately south of the Denman west ferry landing on Baynes sound. It is a 100 ft long dock with walkway access to shore.
Thanks, John, for sending this update!
Love the book! My wife and I have each probably read it front to back a couple of hundred times and we still can’t put it down. Every time we are cruising and she asks me if I’d like to get a book to read I reply “Why do I need a book? I’d rather…Details

Just thought I’d drop you a note and tell you that my wife and I cruised the Pacific Northwest and we found your guide and excellent source of information. We plan on cruising the PNW and South Alaska in 2008. Keep up the good work.

We’ve just learned that a recent Seven Seas Cruising Association bulletin contains a write-up by John Forbes and Shirlee Smith of their trip from B.C. to Alaska. Of all the books they mentioned they had on board, their favorite was the Waggoner—“a must have for cruising Puget Sound and B.C.” It makes us very happy.Details
Dear Mr. Hale: A family member gave us the 2006 Waggoner Cruising Guide last year before we left Puget Sound for Juneau, Alaska. We had several reputable cruising guides aboard, but by the time we reached Prince Rupert we had discovered that the Waggoner Guide gave us the best, most reliable information, and we missed…Details

Especially at the Seattle Boat Show, many boaters stop to tell us how much they appreciate the Waggoner. Here’s a note that just came in that sums up what we hear. A little praise goes a long way. Subject: All I can say is “thanks” and “wow” After relying on the Waggoner since 2002, I…Details
I have purchased your Waggoner Cruising Guide for the last two years. As a matter of fact, I met you at the Vancouver Boat Show last year. I have made many trips from Campbell River, up Johnstone Strait, into Port Hardy and to the Broughton Island area. My boat is a 28′ Harborcraft named “Babu”.…Details
