Bob Brunkow from ICOM Canada called to tell us Washington State Ferries are not monitoring Class B AIS transponder signals. Class B is the AIS that pleasure vessels would use. With the exception of the Washington State Ferries, large vessels equipped with Class A transponders will see Class B signals.
