Landon’s Cruising Report – Octopus Islands

From Toba Wilderness Marina, we headed northwest and crossed Calm Channel to transit ‘Hole in The Wall,’ a small channel between Sonora Island and Maurelle Island. This rather scenic waterway, with current present even at slack, brought us to Okisollo Channel where we entered another narrow waterway, arriving at Octopus Islands. These islands are a popular anchorage area and are wonderful for kayaking or exploring by dinghy. The islets are fun to explore on foot as well and offer some picturesque scenery.
